Next Business Generation - NBG
INTERREG III C Project on Business Succession
Every year thousands of healthy companies disappear because they are unable to manage the successful transfer of ownership from one generation to the next. In the next ten years this will affect some 610 000 small and medium-sized businesses with around 2.4 million employees Europe-wide. To guarantee the continuity of small and medium-sized businesses in Europe, it will be necessary to take measures to support and facilitate the transfer of business ownership.
In the project “Next Business Generation” (NBG) the regions of Baden-Württemberg, Lombardy, Lower Austria, Thessaly, West Midlands and the Canton of Zurich have come together to collectively develop solutions to safeguard business successions.
The aim of the project is to exchange information and share experience gathered on the promotion of business successions, to identify good practice examples, develop appropriate support and set up an effective network.
